One Man's mission to stop the killing of children in the Omo Valley
We had an incredible time at Oceanside International Film Festival and we are honored to take home Best Documentary. Thank you to all the jury members and volunteers who are working hard to bring independent film to the screen. We sincerely appreciate it.
It is particularly special to find out we are an official selection for a Southern California film festival as that is where the whole crew is based. So we are very honored to be an official selection for the Oceanside International Film Festival! We will be screening Saturday August 15th at 11:15 am at the historic Star Theatre on Coast Highway. We are really looking forward to attending as the whole crew can be in attendance. Should be a great day, hope you can join us.
We are all proud to be "first time" filmmakers here and we are excited for the Middlebury New Filmmaker Festival in beautiful and scenic Middlebury Vermont in August. The festival runs from August 27th-30th. We don't have our screen date yet but will update our screenings list when we do! Hope to see you there.
Looks like we are indeed going to be busy this summer bringing our film to many festivals. More good news to share, we are invited to the New Hope Film Festival in Pennsylvania! We screen Saturday August 1st @2:15pm at the New Hope Arts Center. Here is a direct link to tickets (through brown paper tickets). We are very honored and are really looking forward to attending New Hope.
Before this festival season is over we are going to reach every corner of the country (and hopefully world!). Today we got some good news, we will be screening in the northeast at the Maine International Film Festival in July. The festival runs from July 10th to July 19th and we have two screen times. Join us if you can on Saturday July 11th or Sunday July 19th. Here is a MIFF to our page on their website so you can buy tickets and see the entire line up of films.
We are really proud to announce that we won the Audience Choice Award at Mammoth Lakes Film Festival! There is something very special about winning the Audience Award at any festival but we are really honored to win here as the competition was really tough. Shira Dubrovner and Paul Sbrizzi put together an impressive line up of films and we were honored to take part. To come away with the Audience Choice for Best Doc when you are going up against films like Cartel Land, The Chinese Mayor, and Steve Jobs: The Man and the Machine is quite special. What a great festival, we enjoyed it so m
We are pleased to announce that we have been selected for 14th Annual San Francisco DocFest which is coming up in June. Our screen dates and times are - June 6th at 4:45pm and June 10th at 7:00pm. Here is a SF Tickets to our page so you can get your tickets now! See you there.
It's official! We finished in the top ten for the Audience Award at HotDocs (#8). What an incredible honor. It is always nice to win an award but there is something special about receiving this award for everyone here. To know that out of 210 films at one of the world's premier documentary festivals the audience appreciated our film this much is something very special. Thank you HotDocs! Thank you Toronto!
We just got the great news! Omo Child: The River and the Bush has received the "Best of Fest" award from Arizona State University's Human Rights Film Festival. What a wonderful honor to be recognized at a festival that is specifically programed around bringing awareness to human rights issues around the globe. Thank you ASU!
Wonderful honor we received from Arizona International Film Festival today.
